Freya Salon is one of the few salons in the Milwaukee area that is a Deva Curl salon. A Deva Curl Inspired Salon is home to one or more stylists that are trained in curl-specific services.

Want to learn how to embrace your curls? A Deva Cut might be for you! The Deva cutting technique is a special method for cutting curly hair, and t’s a little different than haircuts you might have had in the past.

Most traditional trimming techniques are done wet and designed for straight hair, but the Deva method takes your unique curl pattern into account. First we go through your hair dry, and custom cut small sections or even individual curls to build a strong shape and encourage the curls to separate from one another.

Next comes an educational shampoo process, where we walk you through the best way to get maximum hydration into your curls, how to apply your products, and answer any other questions you might have.

Finally, we gently dry your curls and go through your haircut a second time to refine and perfect it!

First time clients: Your first Deva Cut service will take approximately 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours
